Columbus McKinnon Engineered Products continues on growth path with new leadership

by | 01 Mar 2024

Columbus McKinnon Corporation (CMCO) is putting its subsidiary in Kissing, Columbus McKinnon Engineered Products, a technology leader in components and system solutions for drive technology and lifting technology, back on course for further growth with a new top management team. With Robert Kirner and Marc Philipp, a successor has been found for Ulrich Hintermeier, who held senior positions in the company for 35 years and retired at the beginning of 2024 after several years in the role of Managing Director.

Together with the international management team, Robert Kirner will continue to focus the subsidiary and its Pfaff-silberblau brand on growth as the new site manager. Kirner has been with the company for 20 years and is considered a true Pfaff-silberblau veteran with a wealth of experience when it comes to strengthening the brand. Together with Marc Philipp, Senior Director Sales, he will shape the implementation of the growth strategy, including the development of product roadmaps, in order to consolidate market leadership, increase efficiency and continue to achieve profitable growth.

Robert Kirner says: "As the new site manager, I am looking forward to further strengthening our local presence in Kissing in close cooperation with the global team. Together we will optimize synergy effects to ensure sustainable success for Columbus McKinnon, the Pfaff-silberblau brand and our employees. As part of our overall global strategy, we will set the course for the future."

Columbus McKinnon Engineered Products in Kissing is one of many successful companies in the CMCO Group, which also includes the STAHL CraneSystems, Yale, Magnetek, Dorner Conveyors, Duff-Norton and montratec brands. CMCO plans to double group sales from one billion to two billion US dollars within five years.

A first for CMCO is already taking place in April: Numerous key customers from all over Europe will come together in the Congress Hall in Augsburg at the two-day CMCO Customer Exchange & Show 2024 under the motto "Inspiration, Growth, Partnership" and gain direct insights into the Group's holistic range of solutions. Several themed areas and technical presentations will help customers to find the best solution for their specific requirements.
