Heavy Duty Linear Actuators
Heavy Duty Electric Linear Actuators excel in precision and position feedback, allowing for accurate control over speed, acceleration, and force. Eliminating the need for hydraulic fluids, reducing the risk of leaks make them suitable for clean environments. They are known for high efficiency, which translates to lower energy consumption and operating costs.
Features and Benefits
- Easy to Install, Reducing Installation Costs
Easy installation is a significant benefit of electric linear actuators, especially compared to hydraulic or pneumatic systems. Electric linear actuators are generally self-contained units with a motor, gears, and a leadscrew. - Low Maintenance Design
Easy to maintain after installation - Ball Screw Type
Ball Screws, with their recirculating ball bearings, offer higher efficiency, precision, and speed capabilities, making them suitable for demanding applications. - Superior Strength and Durability
Ductile iron housing exhibits significantly higher tensile strength and yield strength than traditional cast iron. This makes it more resistant to external loads, impacts, and stress, leading to a longer service life.
- Ductile Iron Housing
Ductile iron offers significantly higher tensile strength compared to traditional cast iron, making it well-suited for high-stress applications. - Adjustable End of Stroke Limit Switches
Define the exact stroke length needed for their application, even if it's shorter than the actuator's maximum stroke. - Mounting Options
Clevis Mounting, allows the actuator to pivot freely, making it suitable for applications where the actuator needs to change its angle during operation (e.g., opening and closing hatches).
Trunnion Mounting, customized mounting blocks that attach to the outer tube of the actuator (front, rear, or intermediate positions). These mounts provide a pivot point around which the actuator can rotate.
- Parallel, Right Angle and Offset Motor Configurations
Parallel Configuration, positioned parallel to the leadscrew provide shorter overall length compared to inline actuators, balanced overall width and length, are suitable for applications with limited length and width space.
Right Angle Configuration, the motor is placed perpendicular to the leadscrew provides quiet operation, has excellent backdrive performance.
Offset Configuration, can be mounted in a way that creates an "offset" from a straight or center line provides advantages in terms of reduced overall length, a balanced form factor, improved design flexibility and a wider range of gear ratio options, making it suitable for applications with space limitations and requiring flexibility in speed and torque control.
