Columbus McKinnon’s One-of-a-Kind Training Center Achieves Major Milestone

By Columbus McKinnon | 17 Oct 2023

When it comes to entertainment lifting equipment, Columbus McKinnon and its CM-ET brand are legendary in the industry. Not only are we well known for its entertainment hoisting and lifting equipment, but we also relied on for our best-in-class training on everything from motor maintenance to fall protection to SPRAT certification.

We are excited to announce that last month, Columbus McKinnon’s Rock Lititz Training Center of Excellence achieved a major milestone – 1,000 trainees!  Since its opening 6 years ago, 1,000 individuals have received training at the facility from over 200 companies, in both the entertainment and industrial sectors. These trainees have come from around the world, including 40 U.S. states, as well as Mexico, the United Kingdom, Canada, and more.

What makes Columbus McKinnon’s Rock Lititz training center unique? The training center sits inside a one-of-a-kind community built to support the live event industry. Located in Lititz, Pennsylvania, the 108-acre campus has resources ranging from design, engineering, and manufacturing to full rehearsal centers for some of the world’s largest productions.

POD 2, the building where Columbus McKinnon’s training center is located, is the collaborative hub of the Rock Lititz campus, designed to promote creativity and innovation through an environment custom-designed for production professionals. It’s here that we offer a comprehensive curriculum for all aspects of rigging, taught by industry-expert trainers and supported by a team of application and product specialists with decades of entertainment and industrial experience.

Some of the most popular courses at Rock Lititz include CM-ET Motor Mechanic Certification (MMC), Rigger Boot Camp, Fall Protection, and Rope Access: SPRAT Certification. In March, we were granted ITRATA membership and started training classes earlier this year.
